Valheim, the Viking survival action role-playing game developed by Iron Gate Studio, has reached a new sales milestone. The developer, in conjunction with the publisher Coffee Stain, announced that the game has reached a milestone of 10 million sales. This achievement was announced in a press release, which stated that it had been reached “little over one year after its Steam Early Access launch.”
Richard Svensson, the CEO of Iron Gate Studio, stated, “We never dreamed Valheim would grow to be as large as it has, even in our wildest fantasies, and the past year has gone by far more quickly than we anticipated.” Our crew has more than doubled since the game’s release, and knowing that Valheim is loved by millions of gamers around the world is both an honor and a source of humility.”
“Seeing Valheim’s growth during its first year of Early Access and being by Iron Gate’s side has been an enormous privilege,” Albert Säfström, VP of Publishing at Coffee Stain, remarked. Awe-inspiring to see the fruit of their labor offer joy to millions of people all over the world.” “The team is pouring all of their development knowledge and passion into the game, and it’s humbling to watch the game deliver joy to millions of people all over the world.”
As for what’s next, production on the Mistlands biome is “well underway,” according to Svensson, who adds, “We can’t wait to bring this new fascinating biome to the game.” There will be new weaponry to use in conjunction with the release of new adversaries. More information, on the other hand, is still to come.
‘Hearth and Home’ was Valheim’s most recent “major” update, which rebalanced food and battle systems, and introduced new recipes, furniture, and the option to exchange map data with other Vikings, among other things. A more recent patch included the Frost Caves as a new dungeon, as well as new monsters, new crafting resources, and the Fenris armor set, all of which were previously unavailable. Also included was the addition of a new event, weapon, and build items such as the standing brazier. Keep an eye out for information on additional upgrades in the coming months.
