A Vampire Survivors-based animated TV series is currently under development. The company Story Kitchen and Vampire Survivors creator Luca Galante are collaborating to create the animated adaptation, according to Deadline. The company is currently looking for a writer to lead the project, which will be pitched to buyers of animated TV networks.
Story Kitchen co-founder Dmitri Johnson said, “When our Head of Creative, Dan Jevons, flagged Vampire Survivors for us last year upon its first release, we were prepared to reject it as just another vampire game. “After playing for hundreds of hours, we were all addicted and could not get enough! Needless to say, we’re really honored to join with this fantastic team and to continue the Vampire Survivors tale!”
Although it has cost Story Kitchen countless hours of lost productivity, Dan Jevons from Story Kitchen said, “We are thrilled and honored to partner with poncle to bring the bombastic gothic world of Vampire Survivors to life in linear media.”
The story is what matters most in Vampire Survivors, therefore it’s a dream come true to witness what began as a small indie game that developer Galante created on the weekends come to life as an animated TV series. “Working on the show with such seasoned and skilled individuals is fantastic. However, I do wonder if they are aware that Vampire Survivors is entirely devoid of vampires.
The plot of Vampire Survivors is quite simplistically described through character and object descriptions, but it centers on a never-ending conflict between Bisconte Draculó and the Belpaese Family.
Tides of the Foscari, a recent expansion, was released for Vampire Survivors. Eight new characters, 13 new weapons, new soundtrack tracks, and new achievements are all included in the $1.99 DLC. The Foscari Academy is featured on the new stage in the expansion.
Future updates to Vampire Survivors include both paid and free material. Playable versions of the game are available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Android, and iOS.
