This morning we were wondering whether Redfall is still worth fighting for , and Arkane has just released a major update to the game. The creators offered players a 60 frames per second mode, and at the same time the studio made a number of important corrections.
Redfall debuted in May and so far the game has received only one major update. The creators have been working on important fixes for a long time, but the second patch has just debuted on Xbox Series X|S and personal computers.
The creators made significant improvements – Redfall on consoles received a performance mode (60 fps), greater stability was ensured, and even new controller settings were prepared.
Arkane also took care of such elements as offering players the opportunity to eliminate enemies from hiding, made numerous improvements to aim assist and the dead zone (the game had problems with gameplay on a pad), and even increased the number of enemies in the open world.
The changes are really big because the developers took care of all the most important aspects of Redfall – performance and stability, user interface, accessibility, gameplay, combat, environment and multiplayer.

GAME
- Numerous improvements to aim assist and dead zone, and more options to modify these settings for the controller and keyboard and mouse.
- Arkane Recommendations:
- For fans of fast online FPS games: a ready-made scheme of medium, high or linear response time that seems more dynamic.
- For fans of slower single-player FPS games: a ready-made pattern of default, low or medium response time, which seems to allow for more precise aiming.
- Increasing or decreasing the controller sensitivity relative to the default response time scheme will directly increase or decrease the overall left and right flip speed.
- For players looking to increase their controller sensitivity, we suggest trying the default High or Very High Aim Assist Force and Shoulder Aim Pull Force if that’s something they’re interested in.
- For players who want to lower their controller sensitivity, we suggest trying Very Low, Low, or Default Aim Assist Strength and Retraction Force for Shoulder Aiming if they find it difficult to control their aim.
- If you’re looking for the perfect controller settings for yourself, modifying the preset response time setting is a great step to start with.
- Arkane Recommendations:
- During the Acclimatization mission, Anna Creelman now refills the player’s pistol, shotgun, and assault rifle ammo.
- New places have been added in the Old Town and Sedgewick where vampire nests appear.
- Added blade in tutorial and archive entry for psychic energy.
- Remi’s C4 charges disappear from the world after they are detonated.
- Various mission objective stability fixes.
- Added dialogues in the mission “Like a bolt from the blue”.
FIGHT
- Players can now sneak up on unaware cultists and Bellwether agents and eliminate them with stake weapons.
- The number of enemies in the open world and the balance of combat during missions have been increased.
- Added unique open-world enemy encounters in Redfall.
- Added glowing items or reflective clothing to vampires and human NPCs to increase their visibility at night.
- Increased the amount of ammo found near the fire station so that new players don’t run out of resources early in the game.
- Enemies now change positions so as not to shoot at each other.
- Bribón always shocks enemies when using his siren if the “Robot Rock” skill is active.
- Remi reacts to Bribón being knocked down and is able to find him.
