Microsoft has been developing the Elite series of controllers for years, and yesterday two new colors of the Core version were presented, but gamers have been waiting for extensive hardware from the American corporation for a long time. Due to another patent, rumors have returned that the company may be developing a touchscreen pad.
Players have long been waiting for Microsoft to react to Sony‘s actions and propose a controller with haptic vibrations and adaptive triggers. The equipment could positively affect the players’ experience – for many customers of the Japanese corporation DualSense it significantly improves the gameplay.
From time to time there are rumors according to which Microsoft is to work on new equipment and the latest patent fueled the expectations of the community – the manufacturer is to develop a controller with a touch screen on which we could check various functions, observe the battery status, and even the corporation would provide connection with platforms social.
According to the details provided in the patent – the equipment would connect to a mobile device and probably thanks to this we could manage notifications or device functions.
The graphics suggest that the engineers want to focus on a larger and at the same time touch screen, thanks to which we could manage the controller.
If the display will be one of the new functions, and the pad will also provide the aforementioned haptic vibrations, adaptive triggers or additional buttons, I am sure that players will be interested in such a proposal.
