A brand new gameplay trailer for the upcoming role-playing game Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been made available by Nintendo. The purpose of the video, which has been given the name Aionios, is to provide a glimpse into the universe of Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
The trailer provides sweeping panoramic views of Aionios, including some of the locations that are likely to be visited throughout the course of the game, as well as some brief peeks at the types of foes that may be expected to be battled in these specific areas.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which will be released on July 29 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, will include a central cast of six characters who can be controlled by the player. Along the course of the game, the player will come across a number of different characters who can be controlled by the player, though it is likely that these characters will not become part of the main group.
Earlier on in 2018, a number of gameplay videos were uploaded to YouTube showcasing the enhanced battle system that would be available in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. In addition to the ability to switch between playable characters in the middle of a battle, a new mechanic allows players to reorient themselves, putting them in better positions for positional attacks and complementing the option to switch between playable characters in the middle of a battle.
The release window for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was initially scheduled to begin in the month of September when the game was first announced. However, not too much longer after that, Nintendo ultimately decided to advance the release date of its console to the month of July.
