With so many major releases this quarter, it’s hard to think that FromSoftware‘s Elden Ring will be released this week. However, spoilers and leaks about the open-world action RPG have been circulating for some time that Elden Ring developer warned. As a result, the developer warns players from harming the experience for others.
“With the release of Elden Ring promptly approaching, please be mindful of spoilers for those who wish to experience The Lands Between for the first time with unclouded eyes. Thank you for your kind cooperation,” it said in a fresh tweet. While this won’t necessarily stop the flood of spoilers, it will act as a warning to those waiting for the game’s release.
Elden Ring spoilers are all but guaranteed to circulate online, regardless of where you look. So, if you’re really keen to get into it without prior spoilers, we’d recommend either steering clear of social media or muting Elden Ring on Twitter.
Elden Ring will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC on February 25th. Xbox pre-loads are now accessible, while Steam and PlayStation pre-loads will be available 48 hours ahead of their respective regional times. Here‘s a link to a new gameplay trailer that was released recently. In the meantime, stay tuned for additional information.
Today, February 21, the official “Elden Ring” Twitter account issued a request that gamers refrain from disclosing spoilers that may detract from the enjoyment of others. This specific caution should not come as a surprise given that review copies are available. However, when leaked data and footage surfaced late last year, some fans pointed out that FromSoftware failed to issue a similar statement. However, it’s better to be late than never.
