The Tekken 8 beta has just started, and early players are sharing gameplay from this massive gameplay sample.
The closed beta of Tekken 8 has already started on XSX/XSS, PS5 and PC (Steam) and will last until October 23, 2023. Unfortunately, there is no longer a chance to join the tests. The publisher sent codes to people who registered their willingness to participate in the beta some time ago, and it seems that the pool of test participants has been closed. Bandai Namco recently claimed that it would give away approximately 182,000 codes to participate in the beta.
The aim of the beta is primarily to check the network infrastructure of Tekken 8. The publisher wants to make sure that the network code and the servers themselves work perfectly in all configurations, including in cross-platform games. Another important element of the beta is the Tekken Fight Lounge, a lobby where players can interact with each other. One of the videos below shows this functionality.
Tekken 8 will debut on January 26, 2024. Developers still have some time to make corrections. Some changes compared to the currently presented gameplay are still possible.
