Alan Wake II is one of the loudest and most intriguing premieres of October. Although the debut will take place in two weeks, fans are already extremely excited about what the talented crew from Remedy Entertainment has prepared for us this time. We know perfectly well that in many aspects it will be almost a revolution compared to the first installment, so we just need to be patient.
However, it was confirmed some time ago that we can be sure that the game will be further developed after the premiere. The developers announced that fans can count on both paid expansions and free DLC. And although there is no point in counting on any details about what plot threads they will cover, they will certainly be related to the main story. Anyway, in a recent interview Sam Lake admitted that the free additions will be “significant” :
We’ve named these larger paid DLCs Night Springs, which may sound familiar, and Lake House. But apart from that, we also have free add-ons. These are significant, and I expect we will be able to provide more detailed information on this subject shortly after the game’s release. However, they will definitely be available for free to anyone who purchases the game.
Well, initially there were concerns that we would only get cosmetic materials in the form of free expansions , but since they are “essential”, they will probably bring us a bit more fun. At this stage, however, you need to be patient and wait. And I’m tempted to say that when the game itself debuts, the plot will absorb us so much that we won’t even think about what lies ahead. Are you waiting for the premiere?
