Armor of Heroes, a free-to-play minigame, is being made available again on the official website of Relic as part of the company’s celebration of its 25th anniversary. Armor of Heroes was initially made available to the public for a short period of time to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Sega, the company that was responsible for publishing the game.
The arcade-style game for one to four players puts each player in command of their own tank from World War II. It comes with nine different game types, some of which are king of the hill, last man standing, and the traditional deathmatch. Armor of Heroes features four different maps, each of which is compatible with any of the game’s modes.
Company of Heroes 3, a real-time strategy game set during World War II, is currently being developed by Relic. The production team has been providing frequent updates on the progress being made on the game, and the most recent one discussed the amount of destruction that will be available in the next game.
The development team has stated that the destruction system in Company of Heroes 3 would have a great deal of depth, allowing players to bring down buildings and do damage to neighboring units.
During the month of April, Relic had discussed the art and authenticity of the game, even going so far as to discuss the game’s inclusion of realistic effects for dirt.
