    The release date, plot summary, and a few screenshots for Dead Island 2 have been leaked to retailers. So may there be a fresh announcement soon?

    In 2014, Dead Island 2 was initially made public. 2015 was the scheduled year of release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions. However, Dead Island 2 seems to have been stuck in development hell for the past eight years.

    The game’s developers have changed numerous times throughout the years, and there has been essentially no official news. Currently, Deep Silver is publishing Dead Island 2, which is being developed by Dambuster Studios in the UK.

    Amazon in the US is responsible for the aforementioned retail leak. On the website for the UK, Dead Island 2 is listed. However, it is based on data from 2014.

    The Day 1 Edition, box art, and screenshots are all included in the most recent Amazon US listing. All other information has now been deleted, though. Fortunately, Twitter user and business leaker Wario64 snagged all the information prior to its removal.

    WHEN WILL THE SEQUEL BE RELEASED?

    The release date for Dead Island 2 is listed as February 3rd, 2023, on Amazon. This release date corresponds to a release window that was originally announced at a Deep Silver earnings conference for 2023.

    Below are the bullet points taken directly from the Amazon ad that describes the gameplay information that was leaked:

    WHEN WILL DEAD ISLAND 2 BE RE-ANNOUNCED?

    We don’t know for sure right now. However, given that Dead Island 2 has recently surfaced on Amazon with a ton of delicious information, a new announcement may probably be expected soon. If I had to guess safely, I’d think that Gamescom could re-announce Dead Island 2 the following week.

    Naturally, we must be skeptical of every leak. Having said that, without a formal announcement, the pictures, box art, and summary appear to be as accurate as they can be. The release date will probably be the only element that differs from the Dead Island 2 retail leak, but you never know.
