The excitement around Final Fantasy 16 has been at a fever pitch ever since the game was initially announced, but after its most recent showing and the release of fresh details, that excitement is just building, and it is likely to continue to rise in the future as well. It should come as no surprise, then, that the upcoming role-playing game for the PlayStation 5 has once again topped Famitsu’s weekly charts for the most highly anticipated future games. These charts are determined by votes cast by readers of the publication.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3, another anticipated large role-playing game that is scheduled to be released much sooner, is currently in second place, and there is a considerable difference between it and the first-place game. It has passed another important forthcoming Switch exclusive that is also due for release in 2022, Splatoon 3, which is now in third place on this week’s charts, while Bayonetta 3, which is currently in fourth place, is set for release in 2022.
In point of fact, the majority of the games that are featured in this week’s top 10 are Nintendo Switch releases. The HD-2D remake of LIVE A LIVE comes in at No. 7, while the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild comes in at the fifth spot on the list. The action role-playing game duo Pokemon Scarlet and Violet come in at No. 9, just one spot behind Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, which comes in at No. 8.
You may view the whole list of the top 10 below. Readers of Famitsu were responsible for casting all of the votes, which were collected between May 12 and May 18.
