Square Enix invited several editorial teams to check out Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, thanks to which we received a number of new details about the game and had the opportunity to look at gameplay shots. The title looks absolutely fantastic.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be another upcoming production that will occupy a total of 150GB – the developers will allow us to install the contents of one Blu-ray disc and use the next one to explore the entire production.
During the game, we will see the capabilities of PS5 – the developers will introduce a performance and graphics mode.
The combat from Final Fantasy VII Remake will be used in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, however it will be enhanced thanks to the Synergy system. Additionally, we will have the ability to swim, parry blows, and craft while researching the past to make potions or phoenix down.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s main story can be finished in about 35 to 40 hours, but we should be ready for more extensive exploration. By pressing R1 in the open world, we can call out Chocobo, one of our pet animals that can fly, swim, climb, and even find hidden treasure. A quick travel point can be unlocked by following a tiny Chocobo when we see one.
The developers have not prepared an option to transfer the game state from Final Fantasy VII Remake to the new game, although if we have a save from the previous game, we will receive materials for a new summon. The title will feature extensive mini-games – Square Enix mentioned Cloud acquiring soldiers, who can deploy them during Rufus Shinra’s inaugural parade.
The story will end in The Forgotten Capital, and during the game we will have the opportunity to test the capabilities of Red XIII (fully playable thanks to the unique combat system) and Sephiroth. Vincent will join the team in a similar way to Red XIII in the first installment of the trilogy.
