Microsoft has now confirmed reports that circulated throughout the first part of this month: the GoldenEye 007 Remaster will be introduced to the game libraries of two services at the end of this month, and at the same time, the production will make its debut on new platforms. The preview sheds light on the specifics.
Microsoft revealed a remastered version of GoldenEye 007 the year before, but the decision to release the game was rumored to be contingent on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The corporation had previously stated in September that the production would be released “soon,” but as of right now, we are only able to confirm that players will be able to access the title on January 27.
The developers of GoldenEye 007 Remaster have increased the resolution to 4K, and they are going to ensure a “constant refresh rate.” At the same time, the game will feature achievements and a four-player split-screen mode. GoldenEye 007 Remaster will be released for the Xbox and the Nintendo Switch.
The announcement that the GoldenEye 007 Remaster will be included in the Xbox Game Pass membership came as no great shock, but it was revealed that the item will also be included in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. The circumstance is intriguing for one additional reason: players will only be able to participate in online multiplayer on the Switch.
The following trailer, which was produced by Rare and can be viewed below, reveals that you should not anticipate a complete update; nonetheless, Microsoft has not been preparing players for the remake in the past. A rather minor remaster will be made available as part of the services they offer.
