One of Cyberpunk 2077‘s stars, Keanu Reeves, helped make the game famous by spearheading the first phase of CD Projekt RED’s marketing campaign. The developer winks at the actor’s fan base and reminds us of a certain scenario in Night City, where the star of shows like “The Matrix” or “John Wick” still plays a part.
Not only does Cyberpunk 2077’s most recent version include the metro system and social gathering functionality. The company once again shown inventiveness and originality by including events that became viral and became well-known all around the globe into the game. This time, it’s all about “sad Keanu,” a 2010 meme that went viral because of one of the pictures.
Keanu Reeves was sitting on the bench in 2010 and did not look like a happy actor who systematically receives great roles, co-creates global hits and enjoys enormous popularity. The scene was captured by paparazzi, gained huge publicity, and the star of “The Matrix” became a real meme. Some time ago, Reeves commented on the matter, explaining that he was actually… hungry.

The makers of CD Projekt RED included “sad Keanu,” who can be found in Night City, into the game by including the subway. This shows that they were not forgetting about the iconic scene. A contemplative and ravenous Johnny Silverhand, clutching a hot dog in his metal hand, may be encountered by players arranging a trip in a new mode of transportation. The paper birds that are close to the characters were not overlooked by the designers.
You should use the subway the old-fashioned way, rather than merely as a quick method to get there, if you’re meeting a rock star.
