King Arthur is quite an attractive subject for a video game, and several developers have already used his legends in the past. Now the authors of King Arthur: Knight’s Tale have been able to enjoy the debut of their production on PC for two years, and their work will soon be available on consoles.
After a successful Early Access and an even better premiere of version 1.0, the Neocore Games team finally decided to prepare a console edition of their dark RPG. King Arthur: Knight’s Tale received as many as 83% positive reviews on Steam, while journalists gave the game a slightly weaker, but still decent, 76%.
The mentioned title will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on February 22, 2024, i.e. in just over 3 months. Neocore Games’ production draws heavily on Arthurian legends, but presents them from a completely different perspective. The main character of the game is Sir Moldred, who leads an unsuccessful rebellion against the titular King Arthur. As a result, both of them die, or at least that’s what it would seem. In fact, Moldred is brought back to life on the island of Avalon, where he learns from the Lady of the Lake that the kingdom is being terrorized by the undead Arthur.
The story is quite pleasant, although it is a bit far from the greatest hits of the genre. Will you be playing King Arthur: Knight’s Tale when it hits consoles?
