On April 8th, Gamious’s Lake will be released on the PlayStation 4 and PS5. Perp Games has announced that the calm slice-of-life adventure game, which is now available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, will also receive a physical release on PlayStation platforms globally, in addition to its digital release. Take a look at the short trailer below, which was provided by publisher Whitethorn Games on Twitter.
The plot revolves around Meredith Weiss, who takes a two-week vacation from the city to see her family in the country. She takes over as her father’s postal carrier, and she goes on to deliver the mail and connect with the community. Due to the lack of cell phones and internet access, your activities will be limited to hanging out with friends, providing assistance to others, or simply staying at home to read a book or watch a movie.
At some point, the player will have to decide whether or not to continue playing (though there is no right or wrong result). Beyond the 60 frames per second frame rate shown in the teaser, Lake’s PS5 optimization has yet to be revealed. Keep an eye out for additional details as the film nears its premiere on Friday.
