A group of Minecraft gamers has collaborated to make a 1:1 scale replica of Mondstadt from Genshin Impact.
Skyblock Squad, a German Minecraft construction club, has spent 400 hours rebuilding Mondstadt from Genshin Impact. Because Minecraft has “limited means of adding detail onto your structures,” the scale is somewhat larger than 1:1, more like 1:1.15.
The construction is extremely ludicrous, faithfully reproducing the entire imaginary city. The amount of labor that went into replicating the city can be seen in a video released to Skyblock Squad’s YouTube account. The movie begins with an incredible time-lapse, so you can see exactly how they created the city.
Some of the city’s most notable structures even have elaborately adorned interiors. The video also includes some comparative photos. As a result, you can clearly see how perfectly they replicated everything. Mondstadt’s iconic windmills are immobile in their Minecraft version. But we can definitely give that one to Skyblock Squad. As can be seen, a lot of work and effort has gone into portraying the spirit of the windy city.
Moreover, this isn’t the first time Genshin Impact has been remade in Minecraft.
