Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is now available for purchase on both the Nintendo Switch and the PC. Monster Hunter Rise receives a significant amount of new content with the expansion, in addition to new hunts at the Master Rank, new Switch Skills, and new capabilities for hunters.
The release of Sunbreak was preceded by a series of movies that were made available by Capcom. These videos provided a preview of some of the new monsters that will be included in the expansion. The most recent trailer for Monster Hunter Rise, which was titled A Kingdom’s Savior, provided confirmation that Shagaru Magala will be joining the cast of the game.
Malzeno, Lunagaron, Furious Rajang, Seregios, a fan favorite, and Gore Magala, the juvenile form of Shagaru Magala, are some of the additional monsters that will be added to the game in the Sunbreak expansion.
In the time leading up to the launch of Sunbreak, Monster Hunter Rise received an update to version 10, which included the addition of High-Rank Defender Weapons and Black Belt S Armor. These additions were made to help prepare players for the increase in challenge that will occur when moving from the High-Rank hunts in the base game to the Master Rank hunts in Sunbreak.
In addition to this, there are plans for post-launch updates, which will include the introduction of new enemies. It has already been confirmed by Capcom that Lucent Nargacuga will be added to the game in the first major post-launch update, which is scheduled to take place in August.
