Creative Assembly invites us to ancient Egypt full of political intrigues, cataclysms and bloody fights. Total War: Pharaoh will debut later this year.
After much speculation, the time has come for official announcements. This year, the Total War series will take fans of strategy games to Egypt, and more specifically to the New Kingdom period, when three great cultures had to face huge and numerous adversities.
As Pharaoh, you must save Egypt from destruction and lead your people through the catastrophic collapse of the Bronze Age. It’s up to you to survive or go down in history
Total War: Pharaoh will debut on PC in October – the latest trailer introduces us to a turbulent period in which the pharaoh is dead and the inhabitants of Egypt, Canaan and the Hittite Empire are waiting for a new leader. However, the road to becoming a ruler will not be easy. In addition to enemy armies, daredevils will face sudden changes in the weather, and the ongoing battles will directly affect the terrain – spreading fire can destroy battlefields, burn forests or damage the foundations of enemy settlements.
Players will be provided with eight faction leaders from three rich cultural resources, take advantage of unique playstyles and take control of diverse, dangerous troops. The competition will take place on a detailed map.
The developers responsible for Total War: Pharaoh have also not forgotten about the campaign customization features, thanks to which no clash will be the same – daredevils will determine the initial placement of factions, set the level of resources and will be able to take advantage of natural disasters.
With the all-new campaign customization feature, no two campaigns will ever be the same. Define how you play with an expanded range of campaign customization options, such as randomized starting positions for all factions, detailed resource settings, the ability to play around with natural disasters, and much more. With multiple options, add adversity for added challenge, or become an unmatched powerhouse to quickly blast your way to victory.
