Lake, a slice-of-life adventure game that was originally launched on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC last year, is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Set in 1987, it follows Meredith Weiss as she fills in for her father as a mail carrier in the town of Providence Oaks, Oregon. In the process, she learns a completely new and more peaceful way of living. Take a look at the trailer below.
The truth is that Lake is actually simply about delivering the mail and getting to know the people who live there, despite the fact that it may give off dubious signals. As you become more acquainted with them, you can spend time together after work and develop friendships, and you may even be able to assist them with some odd jobs. Of course, if reading a good book or watching a good movie at home is more your style, that is still an option.
Meredith will only be in Providence Oaks for two weeks, thus depending on one’s choices, they can either stay in the community or return to their previous lives in the city during that time. Lake is said to be optimized for the PlayStation 5, as evidenced by the launch video, which was shot in 4K at 60 frames per second. An A3 map of Providence Oaks is included in the hardcopy version, which is provided by Perp Games and contains the same content as the digital version.
