Sony has just shocked everyone. The company that makes PS5 and PS4 is working with Backbone One, which has made a licensed controller for mobile devices. The Japanese want you to play games made for PS5 and PS4 on a small screen.
PlayStation Backbone One was “inspired by the design of the DualSense wireless controller,” and it is meant to make it easy to play PlayStation games on Apple devices (iPhone) through PS Remote Play.
“The look of Backbone One – PlayStation Edition was created by our design team in collaboration with brilliant minds at PlayStation. The sleek colors, materials and finishes are inspired by the design of the PS5’s DualSense Wireless Controller, right down to the translucent buttons and iconic, flowing design. Sony is following Microsoft’s lead and partnering with Backbone One so that players can enjoy big games on a small screen. The company says that this is a must-have if you want to use an iPhone to play PlayStation games.
“If you have broadband internet access and a PS5 or PS4 console, connect your iPhone to the Backbone One and immediately start playing your PS5 and PS4 games using the PS Remote Play app.”
Backbone One also works with games from the App Store and other streaming services, so you can probably easily turn on items from the Microsoft cloud (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) using the controller.
