Rumor has it that Armored Core 6 will be developed by Elden Ring creator Of Software. The game is said to have been revealed through a consumer survey that leaked some details about the alleged sequel.
Armored Core 6 leaks revealed by From Software survey
The consumer survey posted to Resetera by user Red Liquorice allegedly contained “description, screenshots, and two 30-second game videos.” According to the user, the first video features a boss battle, and the second video features a snow world game.
The investigation was also disclosed, which mentioned some details about the game. According to reports, Armored Core 6 is called the “sci-fi world created by Hayao Miyazaki,” which will take place on the planet Bashtar and feature a “multi-layered story.” The map will be “huge three-dimensional”, and the survey pointed out that players can “feel the scale of the mecha universe.” There will be a variety of maps, which contain many challenging enemies and are replayable.
The investigation noted that combat will feature long-range combat using guns and short-range combat using weapons such as swords and shields. The mech also offers 3D movement that is “inconceivable for humans”, with a high degree of customization freedom, allowing players to “reconfigure body parts and weapons”, allowing them to create a mech that suits their play style. As an example, a mech that focuses on close combat and mobility, and a mech that emphasizes firepower that can deal massive damage to multiple enemies at once.
Given that Armored Core’s last mainline entry was in 2012, fans have been waiting for a new entry in the sci-fi third-person shooter franchise. The expansion, Armored Core: Judgment Day, was released in 2013, but fans of the series have been waiting for the next proper chapter in the story.
While this alleged Armored Core 6 leak has a slew of facts, take it with a grain of salt until From Software makes a public announcement. For the time being, the developer is focused on the upcoming Elden Ring RPG, so don’t anticipate any huge announcements until the RPG is out.
