The initial Serum content was developed collaboratively by Game Island and Toplitz Productions. This will be the first project that the Polish studio has undertaken, and it will center on a fight for survival, with a neon green liquid serving as the central component.
When the first notifitcation about the production was released a year ago, we became aware of the most recent video game to be created by Polish programmers. The players of Game Island will be transported to a mystery location. The story begins with the hero waking up in an unknown laboratory surrounded by frightening monsters and mutants. After some time, he comes to the conclusion that his future does not just depend on his capacity for surviving…
Serum is a performance about surviving that is told from the point of view of the first person and in which the struggle against the passage of time is significant. The life of the main protagonist is dependent on regular injections of an unknown substance. This substance alters the main protagonist’s perception as well as his powers and makes it possible to improve weapons.
“In Serum, the player will be thrown into an enigmatic world where time plays the most important role. For unknown reasons, we wake up in an unknown place, and a mysterious technology is implanted in our body. After a few moments, we quickly realize that in order to extend our life, we will have to race against time and get the title Serum. The only option to escape from this unknown world is to discover the truth about the mysterious Serum. “
Who is behind this dangerous place? How was the green substance formed? In the Game Island title, we will fight against monsters, we will use many types of weapons, which we will strengthen the serum, and while learning about the enigmatic world and its biomes, we will solve a number of puzzles and discover many hidden mechanisms. Developers ensure that during the game we will be able to spend time in safe zones and shelters to prepare for the further fight for life.
In the trailer below, we got a foretaste of the attractions that await us. The serum will debut on PC (Steam), but we don’t know the release date yet.
