It will be released on May 3rd, and it will be the first big post-launch update for Sifu. It will include additional difficulty options as well as Advanced Training and Outfit Selection features (with Deluxe Edition owners receiving an exclusive outfit). Since then, a new trailer has been published, which shows off the new Student and Master’s difficulties. Take a look at the video below.
The student is considered to be the de facto “easy” difficulty level. In addition to having greater health and aging more slowly, foes are less aggressive and employ simpler combos, which helps the player. A disciple is a regular experience in which opponents might quickly beat you down if you are not prepared to face them. The hardest difficulty setting is “hard mode,” in which you are more susceptible and attackers are much more aggressive, in addition to having complex combos.
As if that weren’t enough, bosses now acquire new attack patterns, which introduces some interesting nuances to battles that have already been mastered. Keep an eye out for additional information when the update goes live next week. In addition to the new Advanced Scoring feature, which will be available later this year, other gameplay variables will be included, including no guarding, harder foes, the removal of the pendant, and even a one-hit kill mode.
