Skull & Bones has had its release date pushed back by Ubisoft for the sixth time, and the company has not disclosed any information regarding the new launch date as of yet. Unanticipatedly, Sony responded to the ruckus about the pirate adventure by not selling the product but rather immediately returning money to customers. This move was a surprise to everyone.
Years after the announcement and various dates that were announced, the French behemoth of the industry this time chooses not to reveal the specific date of the emergence of the position that is focused on the rum-soaked fate of buddies. The only information we have is that Skull & Bones will be available for purchase during the following fiscal year, which will begin on April 1, 2023, and end on March 31, 2024. In addition, at the period specified, we should be able to anticipate the release of a number of additional intriguing creations crafted by teams affiliated with Ubisoft.
In the middle of the month, the developers of Skull and Bones showed us a lengthy gameplay segment from the game, but we shouldn’t get our hopes up that it will be released any time soon. The pre-order option for the item has been disabled by Sony, and the company will issue refunds to players who have already placed pre-orders.
This is a highly peculiar method that, to the best of my knowledge, has never been implemented by the Japanese. Even in instances where PlayStation Store staff paid the money back to the community, users were typically notified via email… in this instance, particular amounts were simply added to PlayStation accounts.
The production card still has the year “2023” written on it for the premiere, which makes the choice to refund even more peculiar. Is it possible that Ubisoft has made the decision to reduce the price of the game, that the title will transition to a free-to-play business model, or that the game will be included to PlayStation Plus? How things turn out is up to time.
