Even though we haven’t seen any gameplay footage of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the superhero sequel being developed by Insomniac Games is still, without a doubt, one of the most eagerly awaited video games of the year. In the past, the game’s developer, Insomniac Games, has provided assurances that work is proceeding smoothly, and they have just recently reaffirmed that the game will be released later on in 2018. And while we wait for a substantial new showing, actor Yuri Lowenthal, who plays Spider-Man/Peter Parker in the games, has released a quick development update. In the games, Yuri Lowenthal portrays Spider-Man.
Lowenthal recently confirmed in an interview with ComicBookMovie that he still has some work to do on the title in terms of his part, but that Insomniac is “confident” that it will make its intended launch window. He also stated that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is going to be a “huge game.”
“I’ve still got a little bit to do. “Since it’s such a large game, I’m still putting in some effort here and there,” Lowenthal explained. “I’m aware that they have high hopes for their release date, and Insomniac has a history of being reliable in that regard. It’s very obvious that I couldn’t go into too much detail about the game, but I can assure you that it’s incredible.
He continued by saying, “I can’t wait to hear you play it.” “They are well aware that they have some huge shoes to fill after the previous two games, and they have done it. I literally can’t contain my excitement until other people try it out.
It was always going to be a pretty safe bet that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would be “massive,” but exactly what that will entail in terms of its story, gameplay, and the size of its world remains to be seen. This is especially true given that Peter Parker and Miles Morales will both be receiving the majority of the attention in the game.
The PlayStation 5 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2023. Additionally, a wishlist for it can be created on the PlayStation Store.
