While LucasArt’s Star Wars game featuring everyone’s favorite bounty hunter has been shelved, that hasn’t stopped fans from uncovering and exposing fresh footage.
Star Wars: 1313 is one of the most heartbreaking video game cancellations that many still lament, and for good reason. The game, which was originally developed by LucasArts and debuted at E3 in 2012, featured series favorite Boba Fett in action. Shortly later, the promising-looking action-adventure game was confirmed to be scrapped.
The original E3 reveal was the only footage of the game that existed at the time. People can now watch more videos of the canceled game thanks to The Vault, a YouTube channel dedicated to investigating the original canceled Star Wars: Battlefront 3.
The Vault has released footage of Star Wars: 1313 in action, which shows Boba Fett chasing down a person through gray boxes, demonstrating the game’s movement. The majority of the footage in the film was still in the prototype stage. We get some additional video of the planned Star Wars: 1313 animations near the conclusion.
Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the canceled game, and while Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which is receiving its own sequel, fills the void for a character-based action-adventure single-player game rooted in the Star Wars world, 1313’s cancellation still hurts.
