Nintendo also unveiled a new side-scrolling Super Mario Bros. game along with a remake of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon Remaster, and a new Princess Peach game. On October 20, Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be released for the Nintendo Switch. Below is a video of the first gameplay.
The same timeless platforming is still present, but there are many new mechanics. Mario can assume several shapes, such as an elephant or a spiked ball that can smash through barriers. As Mario and his buddies try to harvest the Wonder Seeds, some courses might turn into a mess of rising and falling pipes and other utter mayhem.
Other playable characters with four-player co-op capability include Luigi, Toad, Daisy, Peach, Yoshi, and even Wiggler. A talking flower that helps Mario progress through the various stages is also there. Super Mario Bros. Wonder appears to be a great platformer with lots of variation all around. In the upcoming months, keep an eye out for further information.
