After being formally revealed at E3 2016, the development of Beyond: Good and Evil 2 by Ubisoft has been going on for a considerable amount of time. In spite of this, we are getting closer and closer to having it available. Sarah Arellano, who formerly held the position of the narrative designer on World of Warcraft at Blizzard and at Volition, has revealed that she will be taking on the role of lead writer.
The second installment of Beyond Good and Evil was scheduled to be revived in the month of July. According to one of the well-respected sources, Ubisoft has made the decision to put the game through rigorous external testing. As you can see, this indicates that the French publisher is still not giving up on the project, despite the fact that it has been in the works for more than 15 years.
While this was going on, the Ubisoft Montpelier team welcomed a seasoned professional to their ranks by the name of Sarah Arellano. Arellano has a history of working on projects such as World of Warcraft and the Saints Row series (also a reboot due to debut this month).
She was in charge of the narrative in both of the games described above, and nothing will have changed in that regard for Beyond Good and Evil 2, which will be released later this year. It will be the responsibility of the scriptwriter to prepare the tale that will be used to drive the Ubisoft sandbox. Ubisoft Forward will take place on September 10 this year, so who knows, maybe we’ll learn more about him then.
