The Settlers: New Allies was released for personal computers one month ago, yet Ubisoft did not make any effort to promote the game in any way. All of this is due to negative reviews, which means that even if the game is ported to consoles, we still can’t bet on a larger marketing push to get players ready for the launch of the title.
Microsoft has just revealed a list of titles that will be available for purchase the next week, and the list includes an unexpected title. The Settlers: New Allies is scheduled to be released for players on March 23, 2023, and the production will be available for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Nevertheless, I have a sneaking suspicion that the premiere will take place simultaneously on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
There was no shortage of thoughts from astonished gamers who were not expecting that the title has already debuted. Ubisoft does not engage in any form of promotion for the game, and in the case of the PC edition, we could not count on an extended marketing effort.
The rating for The Settlers: New Allies on the personal computer is currently at 59%. Critics have lauded the game for a number of aspects, such as its appealing graphics or successful campaign, but the production as a whole has been met with a great deal of criticism due to its inadequately developed systems and ultimately its lackluster content. The game is missing the mechanics that are essential to the survival horror subgenre.
Ubisoft, on the other hand, did not make any fresh preparations. The Settlers: New Allies has probably been converted to new devices, but it is difficult to determine how the product will look in the end… we cannot expect significant modifications in comparison to the PC version of the game.
