The Thaumaturge was supposed to debut in 2023, but we already know that this information is unfortunately out of date.
The Thaumaturge was supposed to be released on December 5, 2023. However, developers need more time. The Polish production, which is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, will hit the market only on February 20, 2024. On that day, the premiere will take place only on PC. We’ll wait a little longer for the PS5 and XSX versions.
In the RPG from Fool’s Theory, published by 11 bit studios, we play the role of Wiktor Szulski, living in Warsaw in 1905. The authors describe the plot in the upcoming production as follows:
It is 1905 years old. The weight of tsarism rests heavily on Warsaw. Its residents are a diverse population with a range of backgrounds, opinions, and beliefs in addition to often divergent hobbies. Not only are they Polish villagers and Jewish businessmen, but there are also Russian troops. Prague is a vibrant metropolis despite the conditions; you may attend an amazing high class party only to get mugged in one of the city’s seedy lanes later. On the one hand, Warsaw is a city full of lofty aspirations and dark passions.
A thaumaturge is a miracle worker who bears a burden in addition to a talent. This also holds true for the game’s protagonist, Wiktor Szulski, who is driven back to the tumultuous streets of Warsaw in the 20th century by familial issues. Thaumaturgy is also connected to ancestral legacy that is handed down via families. Wiktor’s life path is greatly influenced by this magical skill, which he uses to pursue otherworldly entities and those who possess them. But nobody knows better than Victor that everyone really has their own demons since only a thaumaturge can tame these beings, known to a select few as Salutors, and utilize their magical talents to uncover the secrets concealed in people’s souls and communicate with the dark.
