The PC version of the hybrid turn-based and real-time strategy game Total War: PHARAOH is now available. The game, which marks the developer’s return to creating history-based games, is now available for download on both Windows and macOS. In addition, a new gameplay video has been released, which you can view down below.
The action of Total War: PHARAOH takes place in ancient Egypt, as the game’s name may suggest. The Egyptians, the Hittites, and the Canaanites are the game’s three unique factions, and they are all based on cultures that existed throughout the Bronze Age. Each of the three factions has a variety of potential leaders to choose from, as well as a variety of unique play styles, ranging from an emphasis on infantry during battles to alternatives that are more diplomatic in nature.
Campaign Customization is a new addition to Total War: PHARAOH, which provides players with a greater degree of influence over the development of their campaigns by allowing them to pick how those campaigns will unfold. A randomized starting location, customizable parameters for resource distribution, and the possibility to play around with various natural catastrophes are among the available options.
This entry in the series also includes a new tutorial system that teaches both the game’s fundamental and more complex gameplay concepts to players who are new to the franchise.
