There is little doubt left in anyone’s mind at this point that Fatshark is more than capable of delivering solid first-person action experiences set in the Warhammer universe. Fatshark has captured a sizeable audience with its Vermintide games so far in Xbox Series, and there is little doubt left in anyone’s mind that the games will be set in the Warhammer universe. In the second half of this year, we will be receiving more of that with the release of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and in the time leading up to its release, additional information regarding the game is continuing to trickle out.
In a recent interview with SegmentNext, for example, Victor Magnuson, the head of design at Fatshark, provided some technical specifics about how you may anticipate the game to look and perform on consoles when it comes in a few of months. Given the capabilities of the hardware, it is reasonable to anticipate that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will support 4K resolution and run at a frame rate of 60 on Xbox Series X. The game will aim for the same frame rate on Xbox Series S, and it will support a resolution of either 1080p or 1440p depending on the player’s preference. There is as of yet no information regarding whether or whether there are any plans to implement alternative graphical modes.
On September 13, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be available for the Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms.
