IO Interactive made the announcement earlier this year that it would continue the Hitman 3 train by planning post-launch content for a second year after the game had already been released. A significant portion of this may be attributed to the regular monthly updates that have included new Elusive Targets, cosmetics, Featured Contracts, and other content. However, the developer confirmed some time ago that the game would also receive a new map in the month of July. We now have a precise idea of when that map will be available.
On July 26, Hitman 3 will receive an expansion called Ambrose Island. This expansion will be available as a free update to everyone who already owns the game. The island depicted on the map is located in a secluded part of the Andaman Sea and is inhabited by a ruthless pirate organization. As such, it contains all of the secrets that one would anticipate being associated with such an organization. It will introduce new objectives, gameplay changes, challenges, and rewards that may be unlocked, among other things. Watch the trailer down below to get a glimpse of it.
Hitman 3 may be played on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, personal computers (PCs), and Stadia, as well as on the Nintendo Switch through a cloud-exclusive release. In the latter part of this year, the roguelike Freelancer mode will be implemented into the game.
